Jessica Robinson
Designer. Thinker. Maker.
As an interdisciplinary artist and engineer, I am passionate about discovering unique stories and connections that reveal interesting aspects in socio-technic projects. I'm involved in research and development in the area of cultural and ethical considerations of technologies including artificial intelligence, outer space exploration, virtual reality, and other emerging technologies. I string together various mediums to explore these areas ranging from virtual reality and game development to painting and other fine arts. I believe that art plays one of the most important roles in the practice of engineering and technology because it helps us understanding complex human experiences and needs that must be accounted for during the design process.
My Work
Throughout my career, I’ve learned and worked with NASA Langley and NASA HQ, Ohio University Games Research and Development Lab, Virginia Tech's Reality Design Studio, the Institute for Creativity Arts and Technology, as well as local communities including the Butler Pennsylvania Art Center, local families in Athens Ohio, and other amazing influential people and places. I would love to collaborate on whatever project you may have in mind, regardless of how big or small.
